The Full Trailer for David Fincher’s Gone Girl

The full-length trailer for David Fincher’s latest film Gone Girl has arrived and it gives a much better glimpse at the movie than the previous teaser trailer. Based on the bestselling crime thriller by Gillian Flynn (who also adapted the screenplay), Gone Girl stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit and Carrie Coon.

On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

The mystery of the movie is well presented here in this new trailer and already has me wondering if Nick Dunne did it. Beyond the story and the excellent cast (Neil Patrick Harris and Deadwood‘s Kim Dickens in a Fincher film!), I’m just happy to have a new movie from one of my all-time favorite directors. Add Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on scoring duties once again and this becomes one of my most anticipated flicks of the fall. Gone Girl hits theaters on October 3rd.
