Get a Glimpse of the Turtles in Action! The New Teaser for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The teaser trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived and it gives us our first glimpse at the Turtles in action. The footage is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I actually don’t have any beef with changing the origin of the Turtles. I’m actually intrigued as to how the involvement of Shredder and April O’Neil’s father in the creation of the Turtles plays out. The one thing that makes me feel uncertain about the movie is the Turtles themselves. I understand the desire to go for a realistic turtle look but I don’t love it (nor do I hate it). I guess I just like my Turtles to have a very simple and slightly cartoony design. I was perfectly fine with the look of the Turtles in the original film and wished this movie skewed more towards that look.

I’m keeping an open mind about this new movie though and I really hope it’s a lot of fun. I want a fun Turtles movie. The teaser doesn’t offer a lot in terms the story and I’m sure a lot of TMNT fans, including myself, want to know more about the movie but I’m just happy they kept the full Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title and didn’t stick with the shortened “Ninja Turtles” that they were advertising when the film went into production.
