The upcoming horror film, Sinister, has had its release date adjusted slightly.  It was supposed to open on October 5 but will now open a week later on October 12. (ShockTillYouDrop)

Tobey Maguire and FOX Animation are looking to bring Doug TenNapel’s graphic novel, Cardboard, to the big screen.  Maguire’s company, Material Pictures, will executive produce along with TenNapel and Gotham Group.  Chris Wedge (Ice Age) will produce and is considering directing it.  Maguire would also have an option to voice a character in the film. Rosario Dawson will return as Gail in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.  The Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller directed sequel will open on Oct. 4, 2013. (E! Online)

The cast for Alexandre Aja’s new film, Horns, has added Juno Temple (Killer Joe), Joe Anderson (The Crazies) and Kelli Garner (Lars and the Real Girl) to its roster.  They join the already cast Daniel Radcliffe and Max Minghella in the film based upon the Joe Hill novel of the same name. Quite a few set pics from an action scene in Thor: The Dark World have appeared online.  The sequel is currently shooting in Surrey for a November 2013 release date.(Daily Mail)

Nicholas Cage is set to star in the action thriller I Am Wrath.  William Friedkin (Killer Joe, The French Connection) is looking to direct the film about “a man who takes matters into his own hands when he discovers a plot of police corruption after his wife is murdered.” (Deadline)

The long-in-development film adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn’s Y: The Last Man looks to finally have some momentum.  New Line Cinema has made the film one of its top priorities after reading the latest draft of the script from Jericho writers Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia.  They have already begun meeting with directors for the project. Warner Bros. has announced that they will do a 3D post-conversion on the upcoming Pacific Rim.  Director Guillermo del Toro expressed his resistance to making the film 3D at Comic Con but it looks like Warner Bros. has decided to do the conversion to capitalize on box office returns. (Variety)

A&E has released some new promo art for their upcoming Psycho prequel TV series, Bates Motel.  Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin will develop the series which has Vera Farmiga starring as Norma Bates. (Hollywood Reporter)

Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have sold an original sci-fi script, entitled Epsilon, to Sony.  The story is set in the future where Earth is in the aftermath of a failed robotic rebellion that has wiped the planet of its electronics.  Surviving robots inhabit an orbiting space station where they raise humans to do their bidding and infiltrate Earth. It’s been confirmed that Daniel Craig will play James Bond at least another two times after Skyfall is released.  That would bring his tally of Bond films to five, which would make Craig the third highest actor to play the role and would bring the 24th and 25th Bond films to the big screen. (MI6)

A new trailer for Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning has popped up online.  The film stars Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins and hits theaters on November 30. (Ain’t It Cool)
